The City of Windhoek is currently reviewing progress and challenges in implementing the City’s Strategic Plan (2022-2027), along with the budgeting process for the 2026/2027 financial year.
With approximately 16 months remaining before the conclusion of the current Strategic Plan in June 2027, the City indicated in a press release that the review is critical to ensuring that majority of the set targets are achieved.
“It also allows leadership to revisit key assumptions, identify potential obstacles, and develop mitigation measures to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and budgetary allocations,” read the press release.
Beyond its strategic and financial significance, the review session will also provide an opportunity to reaffirm leadership’s commitment to improving service delivery and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Windhoek, the City stated.
