As Grade 12 learners across Namibia prepare for one of the most important decisions of their lives; where to pursue higher education in 2027; many are already exploring institutions that can provide them with quality education, relevant qualifications and the skills required to succeed in the workplace. Among them is Simasiku Smart, a Grade 12 learner at Sanzo Secondary School, who is already looking ahead to university life.
“I want to be part of the achievers next year,” Simasiku says, reflecting the aspirations of many young Namibians who are preparing to transition from secondary school to higher education.
Recently, we have been engaging with Grade 12 and Grade 11 learners in the Ohangwena Region, including learners attending tutorial colleges. These engagements have provided an opportunity to discuss career choices, university programmes and the importance of selecting an institution that can prepare students for the demands of the modern workplace.
