Echo Namibia’s LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Receives CRAN Approval

 

Echo Namibia, in partnership with OneWeb, has been granted approval by the Communication Regulatory Authority of Namibia to provide internet service in Namibia via a low-earth-orbit satellite.

 

The company’s managing director, Christo Greeff, provided the update last week.

 

According to Greeff, Echo Telecommunications will become the first internet service provider (ISP) in Namibia to launch an LEO Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), adding that they have officially started selling OneWeb LEO VSAT services.

 

The company will have an official launch media announcement and press release on the 28th  of January.
