The Municipality of Windhoek has approved a move to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The MoU seeks to advance sustainable development and environmental stewardship in Windhoek.
According to the City, the partnership will focus on addressing key challenges such as water scarcity (as the City battles with water issues every year as drought becomes more prevalent and rainfall patterns change), waste management, and climate change. At the same time, it aims to promote community participation, conservation awareness, and sustainable practices.
This collaboration supports the City’s vision for a greener, more resilient, and inclusive urban environment.
