
By the end of November 2025, Namibia had imported 419,761 live chickens. Most of these are day-old chicks from South Africa. In November 2025 alone, the country imported 43,600 live chickens.
As at the end of November 2025, the Namibia poultry sector had slaughtered a total of 17,6 million chickens for domestic consumption.
The slaughter is divided between Namibia Poultry Industry and Kadila Poultry only. This is according to the Livestock and Livestock Products Board of Namibia’s monthly statistics.
