Updates from the Ministry of Environment have revealed that the government received the final report from the IAEA last week regarding the investment bid to mine uranium around one of the country’s biggest underground bodies of water.
This is after the IAEA’s technical team visited the area in February
The Environment Ministry has indicated that the government’s technical team, comprising all competent OMAs, will convene to chart a government position on the matter.
This position will then need to be sanctioned by Cabinet, and only then can it be shared with various stakeholders, including the public, the Ministry added.
