As of the end of March 2026, the Etango Uranium Mine contractor workforce on site has crossed more than 560 people.
These employees are employed across four local Namibian contractors, Namibbeton, K Neumayer, Tulela Mining, and AN Construction, which are contracted by the mine developer, Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia.
The bulk earthworks contract for the mine now stands at approximately 66.5% complete and continues to advance according to schedule, the update shows.
The key focus area of this contract remains the construction of the heap leach pad and ponds, and the wet plant terraces.
In March 2026, Bannerman and their contract partners celebrated 500,000 LTI-free hours on the project to date. Marking Bannerman’s unbroken 17-year LTI-free period.
Lost Time Injury-free hours (LTI) measure the total man-hours worked by employees without any work-related incident resulting in a fatality or at least one full day/shift away from work.
The mine developer explained that safety remains the core focus of the team and, with this proactive approach, the past few months have seen the further roll-out of safety campaigns and monthly awards.
