Pupkewitz Goldwagen has opened its second branch in Ondangwa, following its main branch in Windhoek.
Anton Westraadt, Managing Director of Pupkewitz Motors, expressed his appreciation for the expansion into the northern region.
“With 30,000 parts associated with a car, I initially questioned whether this number could fit in the space we secured in Ondangwa. However, I was informed that not all car parts break, which is why this space will be beneficial for many customers,” he stated.
As Pupkewitz Motors celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, Westraadt noted that only 3% of family businesses reached this milestone. He attributed their success to strong partnerships with brands like Goldwagen.
“We have been questioned about our ability to succeed in a market that also has stores selling parts in Ondangwa. However, competition is not a major concern for us. What truly matters is the quality of the products we offer. Are customers facing long waiting times? Are our prices fair? Do we provide excellent customer service?” he remarked.
He further mentioned that they believe their offerings will remain competitive despite market competition.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ondangwa Town Council, Ismael Namgongo, delivered a speech on behalf of Deputy Mayor Ester Auala, speaking to the importance of private investment in the town.
“We thrive because of private investments, and I can assure you that we are growing due to these contributions. Sustainable economic growth is only possible when we promote private investment that addresses our residents’ needs,” he relayed.
Namgongo welcomed Pupkewitz Goldwagen’s new addition to the local business community.
“On behalf of the Ondangwa community, I extend a heartfelt welcome and congratulations to the entire team behind this exciting venture,” Namugongo said.
He noted that the store represents more than just a new retail outlet; it symbolises growth, positive economic development, and the trust that investors have in the town’s economy.
“I can assure you that in today’s fast-moving world, transportation is essential for our economy. Behind every vehicle on the road is a need for high-quality and reliable parts,” he stated.
He further indicated that Pupkewitz Goldwagen will not only be meeting the needs of the community by providing car parts, but also create employment opportunities, contributing to Ondangwa’s growth.
Brian Rubinstein, a board executive, shared his excitement about being in Ondangwa, reiterating the company’s commitment to customer service.
“We do not take this opportunity lightly. We will ensure that no customer stands in long queues and that everyone is served fairly,” he said.
