Men aged 50+ women 40+ have been granted access to engage in low-impact physical activity at the Khomasdal Community Hall through the Young Ones Football Club’s fitness project.

The Windhoek municipality announced this during last week’s council meeting.

The Council highlighted that the decision is in line with its commitment to promote community wellness. Thus, permission was granted to the Young Ones Football Club to use the Khomasdal Community Hall for its Walking Football 4 Health Namibia (WF4HN) project.

The programme encourages men aged 50+ and women aged 40+ to engage in low-impact physical activity that supports not only physical fitness, but also mental and psychological well-being.

The country currently grapples with health-related issues and costs, with experts attributing it to the physical structures of individuals. As a result, many cooperates are sponsoring a number of marathons and other physical activities in Windhoek and beyond.

Corporates like Nedbank, City of Windhoek, Bank Windhoek, NBC, and Old Mutual all extend budgets for marathons.
