Close to 50% of Namibian Imports Use Sea Route

 

The latest international trade statistics show that the sea is a major transport route for Namibian imports. The figures show that imports via sea were valued at N$9.1 billion, representing a 49.6% share of the total import value of all goods. Petroleum oils, sulphur and unroasted iron pyrites and fertilizers constituted the highest value of total imports via sea transport.
