The Road Fund Administration unveiled its digital platforms on Thursday for Cross-Border and Fuel Levy payments and documentation management.
At the launch, the company said this was due to the needs identified by customers and the need for digital on-the-go services.
“This is about building a more innovative and customer-centric organisation,” said the RFA.
Ali Ipinge, RFA chief executive officer, added that “We live in a world where physical visits are no longer necessary. The RFA was requested to look into digitising; this request was incorporated into the strategic plan of the company a couple of years ago.”
Ipinge stated that other benefits included cutting down on queuing times for customers and to restrict wastage on paperwork and paper filing routines.
“This will allow the customers to manage and process charges and claims in a seamless process,” he said.
The Cross-Border digital platform helps with the early payments for fees at the border, while the Fuel Levy Refund platform assists customers to track statements and make payments.
