NAB to Train Grain Millers in Food Safety

 

 

From 5 to 24 February 2026, the Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) will embark on a Food Safety Training Programme for millers.

 

According to the Board, the training is for the grain millers to align their food safety standards with the Namibian Standard NAMS/SANS 10049:2020.

 

Moreover, the training aims to strengthen food safety compliance and promote best practices within the grains milling industry through effective implementation of Prerequisite Programmes (PRPs).

 

The training will be held in the northern central areas in Ongwediva, KARST Region in Tsumeb; Kavango Region in Rundu, and then in the Zambezi Region, which will be held in Katima Mulilo.

 

Last year, 20 milling facilities submitted their renewal applications at the board.
