Namibia’s First Lady, Madam Monica Geingos commended Namdeb Diamond Corporation for its innovation as well as supporting female leadership within the company.

On Friday, 22 January 2016, Geingos was the keynote speaker at a fundraising gala dinner event for Oranjemund Private School (OPS) 2016 Learners’ Representative Council (LRC), which Namdeb supported.

While in Oranjemund, Geingob toured Namdeb’s recover and sorting facility, the Red Area Complex (RAC) where she was given an overview of the facility by Ms. Wollen Nell, the RAC Manager.

Geingos was impressed by Namdeb’s dedication to promoting female leadership in a made-dominated industry.

“Wollen story has not been shared enough, I was particularly impressed by her journey and the way she interacts with her people to ensure team collaboration,” she said.

According to a press release by Namdeb, “The First Lady was particularly impressed with the innovation and technological advancements employed by Namdeb to ensure greater efficiency and sustainability of operations.
