Otjomuise resident Findano Kemba appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court last week on charges of drug dealing and illegal possession of ammunition. Kamba, who lives along Bonn Street, was caught with three units of crack cocaine while in Otjomuise on 16 December last year. According to court documents, he was at his residence when he was found with N$300 worth of crack cocaine, for which he then was charged with dealing in a dependence-producing substance. On the same day, he was also found with ammunition, being one live bullet, without being in lawful possession of a firearm capable of firing that ammunition. If found guilty of the possession of ammunition under the Arms and Ammunition Act, he can be given a fine not exceeding N$12 000, or be sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding three years, or both. When he made his last appearance in court, he was still in police custody at the Katutura police station. His case has been postponed to 4 March this year, as further investigations continue.
