Magistrate Hambeleleni Heita of the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court presided over the rape case of 24 year-old Silas Shilongo some two weeks ago.

Shilongo was arrested in April this year after he allegedly forced a 15-year-old girl to have sex with him in the Goreangab Dam area.

According to court documents, Shilongo coerced the young girl into having sex with him when he threatened her with a knife before applying physical force to subdue her.

When he appeared in court, he was still in police custody, and has been scheduled to appear again last week Friday for his bail application.
