Publicis Africa Group upped the ante at the African Cristal Awards when it scooped African Network of the Year and walked away with 16 medals (including 1 gold) and had 50 pieces shortlisted. This is a huge improvement from the six medals the previous year. The Holding Company of the Year was awarded to Publicis Groupe.

“This is a wonderful result for Publicis Africa Group and speaks to the depth of talent that we have gathered across the 35 countries in which the network operates,” says Kevin Tromp, CEO of Publicis Africa Group. “The combination of smart strategy and great creative ideas executed beautifully, has achieved positive results for our clients businesses, which is the most important thing, but it is also extremely satisfying to have the Publicis Africa Group recognised in an international competition of this nature.”

Tromp said this was proof of the importance the network is placing on Africa and the opportunities they intend to take full advantage of.

“I am enormously proud of the team, and believe that this is just the beginning of the growth curve for the group,” says Tromp.
