President Geingob wants results on land acquisition

President Hage Geingob is currently addressing a press conference at the State House on the accomplishments of the government in the last 100 days of office.

During the briefing, President Geingob directed the Ministry of Land Reform to explore all necessary measures to acquire land including legal confiscation of land owned by foreigners. In addition, Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Sophia Shaningwa to provide proposals for Mass Housing Solution by end of July.

He added that he had initially requested all ministers, including their deputies and Permanent Secretaries, to make declarations of intend and not asset declarations. There are now travel restrictions which requires for civil servants to provide sound reasons to their travel and also that their travels yield results.
