The Namibian Police has issued a warrant of arrest, for Susan Fredericks for failing to appear in the Katutura Magistrate court last wee, on charges of assault.
Fredericks who was scheduled to appear for a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, last week was a no show which resulted in the magistrate issuing a warrant for her arrest.
However presiding Magistrate Kavara ordered that her N$600 bail order provisionally cancelled and the money forfeited to the state while the warrant was in effect.
Fredericks allegedly assaulted a woman, Elfrida Hochobes by stabbing her on the left side of her back on 12 October 2014 in Omuvapu Street in the Okuryangava area.
The accused pleaded not guilty during her first appearance, citing that she stabbed the victim in self-defence.
The bail return date was scheduled for 16 June.
