The State this week had to withdraw charges of murder and attempted murder against a 28-year-old man.
Fransisco Kinda Kapesi was arrested on 11 October 2013 for one count of murder and another of attempted murder.
It is alleged that the accused killed Ephan Elder Albertus Gaseb, and subsequently shot Lereo Matroos with the intention of killing him too.
However, magistrate Eric Eduard Kesslou heard the State requesting for the provisional withdrawal of the charges against the accused, who was out on bail of N$2000.
The case was withdrawn, and the bail money returned to Kapesi.
