President Geingob skips Sam Khubis due to hostility

President Hage Geingob did not attend the commemoration of the centenary celebrations of Sam Khubis this weekend due to some hostility from some family members.

According to a press release issued by the President's office yesterday,It was with in Dr Geingob's plans to attend the event but could not because of a hostile tone expressed b some family members prior to the celebration, which led to him proceeding with other plans.

The release then goes on to say "The President thanks, Mr. H.G. Britz, Chairman of the Sam Khubis Festival Committee for his statement rejecting the utterances issued by some members of the Workers Revolutionary Party and looks forward to meeting with members of the Rehoboth community in order to engage in mature and progressive discussions".
