Man assault kamboroto for refusing sex

An Angolan national, Antonio Katau, allegedly assaulted his mistress after turning down his request to have sex with him in Ruacana last week.
According to Omusati Regional Crime Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner, Bonifatius Kanyetu, the Angolan man drove to a deserted area after a drinking spree at a shebeen.
“It is alleged that an argument broke out when she refused to respond to his advances when he asked her to engage in sexual activities. Insults were exchanged which led to a physical fight,” said Kanyetu.
In the fight that ensued, Kanyetu said, the victim sustained a wound on top of her right eye believed to have been caused by the suspect’s car keys.
“In the statement it appears that the wound was caused by the car keys that the man used to hit her with,” said Kanyetu.
He said the suspect drove her back to the bar and dumped her there before driving back home to Oshikango.
Nghifitikeko was then taken to the police station where she opened an assault charge CR 9/02/15.
Speaking to Metro, the victim confirmed she had an affair with the Angolan man, whom she met while a babysitter to his kid.
She said it was only after her stint as babysitter at his house early last year ended, that the two began to secretly see each other, believing his promises of divorcing his wife.
“He said he was doing it because he loved me more than the other woman, and I also started to fall in love with him. He told me that I should not tell anyone about our secret relationship until when he divorces his wife,” she said.
The victim also told Metro that she began to suspect that she was just being used as a mistress when he asked her to continue taking measures to ensure that their relationship remains a secret.
They continued to see each other until recently when she informed him of her intention to end the affair.
“He did not want to end it and that is why he came here and tried to buy me drinks so that he can sleep with me,” she said.
The suspect was still not arrested at the time of going to press last week.
