The Ministry of Education has issue a statement cautioning all learners who sat for the 2014 JSC Grade 10 and Grade 12 (NSSC) national examinations, that there is a SMS circulating; claiming that the results will be released between the 26th and 27th of November 2014.

“To all JSC and NSSC remember that your final exams will be out this week on 26/ 27 November 2014 midnight on the website www.nameducation.com.na or via SMS. SMS your name and candidate number to 2929. Thanks in advance- Ministry of Education,” the SMS reads. The Ministry said that it would therefore like to assure learners, parents and the public that the SMS content is false and unfounded.

The Ministry of Education has no agreement or any links to the website www.nameducation.com.na in the provision and release of results. “Although the SMS line 2929 is our official number to which learners usually SMS their details to access their results, the line is not yet officially opened for release of the 2014 JSC Grade 10 and Grade 12 (NSSC) national examinations results,” the ministry said. About 46 346 Grade 10 full-time and part-time learners registered for the 2014 national examinations compared to 44 374 in 2013. Similarly about 44 932 Grade 12 full-time and part-time Ordinary level learners did register for the 2014 national examinations compared 42 861 in 2013 while 12 079 Grade 12 learners registered for Higher Level compared to 11 660 in 2014.

For this year, a total of 1527 Grade 10 and 1040 markers will mark Grade 12 answer scripts. “The last day for the finalization of the marking process is the 5th of December 2014. Learners and the public are informed that the Ministry is working very hard for the timely release of the 2014 results,” the ministry said.
