Geingob wants the MoE food tender cancelled

Prime Minister Hage Geingob has directed the Minister of Education David Namwandi to re-advertise the N$3billion food tender for the ministry.

This follows a an expose by weekly newspaper Confidente  that the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education  Alfred Ilukena’s wife benefited from the  Food Tender of the Ministry of Education

In a statement released today Geingob said, “With regards to the report on a potential conflict of interest with the awarding of the Ministry of Education’s Food Tender, I would like to indicated that I have directed the Minister of Education to withdraw the tender and re-advertise it for the process to start afresh."
