NASRIA Cup set for Oshakati

NASRIA in conjunction withthe Namibia Football Association (NFA) will be hosting the 2013 edition of the NASRIA Cup from 3-4 August at the Uukwangula Stadium just outside Oshakati.

The finals of the competition will be held on 10 August at the Independence Stadium in Oshakati.

NASRIA is a company that provides affordable insurance cover for riot and strike damages.  Vehicles and residential properties can be insured for as little as N$35 per year.

The games to be played under the theme "Blow the whistle on unrest and political disturbances in the north of Namibia'.

At least 12 clubs from the Oshana Region will compete for the NASRIA trophy.

Action starts on Saturday, 3 August at 09h00, as Young Chiefs takes on Onelago United, to be followed by the clash between Pescanova against former Namibia Premier League giants Oshakati City at 11h00.

Two hours later, Vietnam Rangers will take on Oshakati United.

The final match of the first day will be at 15h00 as King Kauluma Palace takes on Poison Arrows, while four more new clubs will be in action on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, Africa Motto will face-off against Mvula at 09h00 to be followed by the encounter between Omeege United against Ongwediva City.

The Organizing and Competition Committee (OCC) warns that no bottles, weapons (firearms, knives etc.) will be allowed in the stadium and vehicles and spectators will be searched upon entering the premises.

Furthermore, the OCC will not tolerate any kind bad behavior at any event under its auspices and individuals who make themselves guilty, will be dealt with accordingly.
