FNB Namibia and Bank Windhoek today acknowledged that transactions with some of Bank Windhoek’s cards are rejected at selected merchants intermittently.
“ The exact cause of the failure on FNB’s acquiring platform is currently under investigation,” the two banks state in a joint press statement.
This situation is of concern to both FNB Namibia and Bank Windhoek, they state.
FNB apologises to the affected Bank Windhoek clients for any inconvenience experienced when their Point-of-Sale (POS) transaction is unsuccessful as a result of this.
“FNB understands the urgency of addressing this matter and therefore wishes to assure the public that they are working tirelessly to resolve the issue, with plans to have the problem resolved by end of July 2013”.
The problem is limited to Bank Windhoek clients.
