The Bidvest Namibia Cup final will be decided this weekend between African Stars and Mighty Gunners at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
Kick-off is 16h00.
Gate open at 13h00 with entertainment from Gazza and PDK and Liz Ehlers expected at the venue.
Tickets for the final will be sold at any Computicket outlet, Shoprite/Checkers and at Soccer House at N$30 per person.
No tickets will be sold at the stadium according to the organisers and no alcohol will be allowed into the stadium.
The first 5 000 spectators that enters the stadium will each receive branded merchandise and also any fan spotted wearing Bidvest merchandise, stand a chance to win N$1 000.
The prize money for the Man of the Match has increased from N$2 000 to N$5 000, with 50% of the money going to a charity organisation of the player’s choice.
Mighty Gunners will now play in first division next season after being relegated the past weekend.
Gunners coach Gerhardt Hengari said his team would like to go down with the Cup into the first division.
“For us we are underdogs but we do not fear them (Stars) and we want to take the cup to the first division,” said Hengari.
Stars coach Ali Akan said the bad memory of last weekend’s failure to capture the league, is still in the players mind.
“Unfortunately it was a sad weekend for us. We will not give away this cup,” said Akan.
The winner gets N$500 000, runner up N$200 000, while Rundu Chiefs and United Stars will pocket N$100 000 each for reaching the semi finals.
