Vinci-Orascom has withdrawn its Neckartal Dam court case against the Namibian government.
According to Nampa, the outfit, a joint venture between French and Egyptian companies, informed the High Court sitting in Windhoek today that they were withdrawing the case.
The outfit lost to the Italian dam construction company, Salini Construttori S.p.A in the multi-billion dollar Neckartal Dam project which is set to be constructed in southern Namibia.
CSC Joint Venture which also lost the dam tender have not withdrawn their case in which they are seeking an interdict that will compel the Namibian government to stop the implementation of the tender until the court has ruled on a pending court challenge.
