A 12 year-old Otjomuise boy inserted curtain hooks in a two-year old girl’s vagina over the weekend.
It’s not clear what triggered the attack but it’s understood that the boy admitted he beat the toddler before inserting the hooks into her private parts.
“It’s not clear really why he did it but he admitted that he beat the girl very badly before inserting the curtain hooks into her private parts.
“She was in a very bad state but fortunately the hooks were removed and she is currently recovering,” said Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi yesterday.
She said the toddler is recovering in Katutura State Hospital, and that the boy was arrested and will appear this week in court.
“He will appear in court tomorrow (Monday). I think it’s just to determine whether he should be placed in the care of his parents (or not),” said the Inspector.
