Anastasia Mpareke (26) appeared in the Rundu Magistrate Court last week for assaulting a female friend over a cell phone. According to the policeman who is handling the case, the two women got into an agreement when the victim dropped Mpareke’s cell phone in the water.
During the argument, a physical fight erupted in which Mpareke knocked her friend out.
However, the policeman said, members of NamPol were on hand almost immediately and Mpareke was arrested.
She made her first appearance last week and is currently out on bail after making a not guilty plea.
She’s set to return to court on 17 April.
