A Daan Viljoen resident, who was arrested last year for threatening to kill his wife and cut her head off appeared in the Katutura Magistrate Court last week.
Daniel Jarste, 45, was arrested on 5 June last year and was charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm under the Domestic Violence Act.
According to court documents, Jarste had an argument with his wife Celementia in Katutura where he beat her with a cupboard door and grabbed her by the neck.
He then told her that he would cut her head off to kill her. Jarste, who paid his N$700 bail last year, is waiting for his docket to be finalised before he returns to court on the 15th next month.
