TB ward now a porn ward

abox of Smile condoms does not last a day at the Katutura Hospital Tuberculosis (TB) Isolation Ward as patients have developed a knack of entertaining each other.
Last week, ward matron Ms. Rachel Shikongo had to call an urgent meeting with nurses and staff members to tighten control after a case of violence was reported in the ward following a love triangle gone wrong between patients and outsiders.
Tangeni Pena, a TB patient in isolation since the beginning of January this year could not control his sexual appetitie and the recepient of his hormone fury,  a Ms Jacquline (surname withheld to protect patient from trauma) played along.
According to fellow patients, Jackie and Tangeni were the Mr. & Mrs Smith of the ward, among other series of relationships occuring in the ward.
But Tangeni had no clue that Jackie was having an affair outside the cemetry called Katutura Hospital, until her boyfriend, Lucius walked in one night and locked her in the room before assaulting her viciously.
Tangeni, according to the report tried to save his kambroto and managed to enter into the ward through the window, but was welcomed by a barrage of fists, from the irate Lucius.
According to other patients in the ward,  patients at Katutura TB Isolation ward are allowed to have sexual relations with each other while  others are given the leeway to smoke cigarette or tobacco while on TB treatment.
“Imagine, I have been here in isolation for seven months, and the only thing I see is women, men and a box of condoms. Its like a prison, but the good part of it is that there are condoms around. Many of us here have girlfriends,” The Villager was told after swearing to keep the anonymity of the sources.
But the same sources complained that Room 18, which belongs to 56 year old Karl Daniells troubles them most as compared to the noises that come out from the beds of their collegueas each night.
“I don’t have a problem sharing a room with people having sex, at least they cover themselves with sheets. I have a problem with Room 18. The guy is allowed to smoke. And he is a chain smoker. This is a TB ward for God’s sake and the sisters don’t seem to mind. Karl smokes every day.
While some of the patients are not worried about sex in the wards, Tangeni is inconsolable. “Things are about to get very bad. This incident of me and Jackie has affected me mentally and emotionally. I might do something very bad if Lucius insist on hurting Jackie. She has a child for God’s sake and has been under so much stress,” he said to an undercover V-Metro team.
Contacted for comment yesterday, Rachel Shikongo, in charge of the TB ward confirmed the incident where an outsider (Lucius) came to beat a patient, Tangeni,  for sleeping with his girlfriend in the ward.
“But I cannot tell you over the phone, come to my office so that I can give you everything you want to know, since I was not at work when the incident happened,” said Shikongo.
