Two weeks ago, a Katutura man had to receive medical treatment when another man slashed his nose off with an axe.
On 12th of this month, 33-year-old Natangwe Hautemba and Nghitamene Nghishimbwa (age not specified in the court document) got into an argument that ended up in a vicious altercation in which Hautemba swung an axe at Nghishimbwa and chopped off his nose. Given the details, Hautemba, who was arrested on the same day of the incident and charged with attempted murder, appeared in the Katutura Magistrate Court this week .
He is currently at the Wanaheda police cells where he is being held without an option of bail. He has applied for legal aid but remains in custody till his next appearance on 14th December this year. The case is still under police investigation.
