Soldier nearly kills three timing Unam ex

A 34-year-old member of the Namibia Defence Force, Spike Shipiki, says he could have killed his ex Menethe Hiyavali (25) when he discovered that she was cheating him with three other men.
Shipiki, who is based in Orangemund, could not hold back his tears when he spoke to V-Metro saying he did everything for Hiyavali.
But a defiant Hiyavali refused to comment daring V-Metro to write whatever Shipiki says because ‘whomever I sleep with is nobody’s business.
“Let him say whatever he wants to the media. I’m a journalist myself. I won’t comment any further.  Just use whatever facts he says against me because whomever I sleep with is nobody’s business.
“He has already told me to fear for my life wherever I go and that’s exactly what I’m doing,” she said before hanging up the phone on this reporter.
Narrating his story, Shipiki says he has been dating Hiyavali for about three years until her graduation from Unam this year.
Shipiki claimed that he provided for Hiyavali in every way possible and that she would make sure that she left him broke.
He said that Hiyavali demanded a Blackberry and an Apple laptop which he bought for her.
“Everything between us was perfect. She would beg me to call her every night before she slept and she would send me texts every day,” he narrates, adding; “Two weeks ago, she asked me via text to send her money because there was a possibility that she would get a job and she needed some cash for her upkeep till her first pay.”
But just before he sent her the money, a friend and colleague called to inform him that while at a friend’s place, he had just seen Hiyavali’s photos with the guy on the guy’s laptop.
The broken-hearted Shipiki adds that after some probing, he discovered that the woman who has been claiming to love him for the past few years has also been involved with three other men of whom one is his former colleague while another one is, in fact, her current foreman.
“I can’t believe I have been blind for three long years,” Shipiki exclaims sadly.
After discovering that she has been seeing other people, he demanded that she gives back all the things he has ever bought her starting with the Blackberry cell phone.
When he got the phone, he read all the messages that had been stored in the phone memory and there, he discovered more of his ex’s dirty secrets.
The Vision Africa foreman, John Haushona, with whom Hiyavali is also said to be involved, is apparently the one she considers as the main boyfriend.
“Hausona would pick her up most nights with the company car, which has a Government number plate,” he says.
Shipiki thanks God for the fact that he was not with Hiyavali in Walvis Bay when he discovered all the dirt, because he says he would have killed her.
“She would have been another victim of passion killing or whatever it is you people call it,” he fumes arguing that although everybody blames men for the killings, he now knows how those men must felt.
