Fillipus Amutenya’s weekend did not end well two weeks ago when he was attacked by a man and a woman somewhere in Katutura.
Beth Mulenga, 23 and Mervin Skrywer, 20, were arrested on 17th of last month for beating Amutenya with stones on his head.
They continued to assault him by hitting him with a beer bottle on his head and then took N$220 from him. Mulenga and Skrywer also smashed the windscreen of the car Amutenya was driving.
They are now both facings charges of attempted murder, malicious damage to property and robbery. When they made their first appearance in court, they said that they would not need legal aid. The duet is still in police custody and will only be returning to court on 4th October this year while police investigations continue.
