Star hotel rape suspect in court

A Khomasdal rape suspect appeared in the Katutura Magistrate Court last week where the court was to follow up on his legal representation.
Trevor Groenewald was arrested early this year, a day after an alleged rape happened in Khomasdal. The complainant and Groenewald were allegedly at the Star Hotel in Khomasdal where Groenewald physically forced the complainant to have sex with him.
The complainant is 19-years-old but it is not clear what his relationship to Groenewald is. Groenewald was granted a N$2000 bail in January on condition that he would not contact the complainant in any way, interfere with police investigations or leave the Windhoek district without informing the investigation officer.
When he appeared in court on Friday, the case was postponed for further investigations till 30th October this year.
