Man appears for malicious damage
Lazarus Kheibeb, 32, is currently in police custody after smashing his partner’s windows with stones.
He was arrested last week when his partner reported him for breaking the windows to her house, after they had had a fall out. He has not been granted bail yet and has been charged with malicious damage to property and crimen injuria under the Domestic Violence Act.
He is scheduled to appear again next week for plea.
Another man also appeared in court for the same charges; Joceam Bezuidenhout, 29, whose relationship to the complainant was not revealed. He allegedly broke the door to Jessica Deutlinger’s house by smashing it with an unknown object early this month.
It is not clear what his intentions were but he threatened to kill her and is now facing charges of assault by threat and malicious damage.
He is currently held at the Wanaheda Police Station and is expected to return to court on 22nd of next month.
