Wanna-be cops in court

Two men who tried to swindle people out of money while pretending to be police officer in Katutura this year appeared in the Katutura Magistrate court last week.
Onesmus Kanyetu, 31, and Herman Nuule, 33, allegedly tried to squeeze N$5000 out of a woman at the Soweto Market while pretending to be police officers.
It is not clear what they were charging her for or what the fee was for but their game was exposed before they could get far. Although they are both facing charges of extortion and impersonating police officers, only Kanyetu was initially arrested while Nuule was brought in last week.
Both are now out on N$3000 bail each and have been cautioned not to leave Windhoek or interfere with investigations.
The pair is expected to appear again later in the year pending.
