Woman busted for dealing Mandrax

A woman arrested for dealing mandrax in Katutura last year made a brief appearance in Katutura Magistrate Court last week.
Monica Linderi was arrested in Hakahana on 1st of November last year after being caught with400 mandrax tablets valued at N$20 000.
She was charged with possessing or dealing prohibited dependence-producing drugs.
 Linderi is currently out on a N$3000 bail but is liable to pay not more than N$30 000 or serve a 15-year prison sentence if she is sentenced on first conviction.
 Should she be sentenced on a second conviction, she would be liable for a 25-year prison sentence or pay N$50 000 for her crimes.
She is expected to return to court on 16th of August this year as her case has been remanded for PGD.
