Worshipping with legs apart

<img alt="\"\"" src="%5C" _cke_saved_src="\"files/images/feet-2.jpg\"" style="\"width:" 150px;="" height:="" 98px;\"=""></p> <p>  </p> <p>  </p> <p> Church doctrines differ across ministries as some worship the Lord shouting and lifting their hands up, whereas others prefer to worship in a quiet environment by sitting and murmuring just the way Hanna did in the Bible and Eli thought she was drunk.<br> This week, The Villager discovered that St Samuel Star Church members in Walvis Bay pray while standing with legs apart.<br> The church was founded in 1997 by Isak Katiko and has centers in Omaruru, Aminuis,Otjombinde and in Windhoek.<br> “It is compulsory for everyone in the congregation to adhere to the practice so that demons come out from between their legs,” said a member who pleaded anonymity, for fear of being dismissed from the church.<br> “I have never been to other churches in my entire life until recently when I visited my friend’s church and they were not opening their legs while praying. I was confused and concerned on how their demons get out if their legs are closed, because I was told when growing up that it is the only way demons depart from humans,” she added.<br> The spokesperson and bishop at St Samuel Star Church, Jacob Tjihange said deliverance occurs in different ways and that is why we see different ways of worship.<br> “We worship in unique ways and people are delivered on a daily basis. Demons are stubborn creatures and for them to leave, they have to be exposed.<br> “If you have faith in the way you worship, you will be delivered but if you don’t, you will remain the same. Yes, it is our doctrine to worship like that and it has helped many of us,” he concluded.</p> <p></p>
