Anna, friends nicodemusly leave Chez Ntemba

by Chris-Paul

NBC’s Open File senior producer and anchor, Anna Nicodemus; former NBC employee Marbeline and her hubby Dominique Mwashekele, an NBC news anchor; as well as a male friend known only as Junior fled a N$614 alcohol bill at Chez Ntemba.
The waitress, Molesa Devine aka Melisa Kavikua, who served them on Independence Day had to pay the bill.
“They sneaked out without paying the bill. I had to ask around for Nicodemus’ number. The next day I sent her a text, she replied that she would send the money but went silent for a week” said Melisa.
She said Nicodemus even gave her a number supposedly belonging to the person who was to bring the money, only to find that the number is non-existent.
All attempts to get the money from Nicodemus fell on deaf ears as she continued to ignore her.
According to a bill submitted to V-Metro, one of the celebrities spent the night swallowing Springbok, an Amarula and Oude meester cocktail; another one feasted on Jameson tots; the third zapped on double Zappas; and the fourth sipped Windhoek lager.
They had to intersperse their drinking spree with tequila tots and cigarettes thereby accruing N$676.
When they were done and could not settle the bill, they sneaked out leaving the waitress to explain and eventually foot the bill.
Former NBC employee who now manages the club, Sylvester Simubali, confirmed that the waitress had to pay the bill because that’s what their contracts say.
He also confirmed that it was not easy for the club to get hold of Nicodemus and her friends who kept making promises.
“They told me they would pay as soon as they got their salaries but to date, nothing, nothing really, nothing, my brother; it’s stories after stories,” Simubali said.
He said there is a clause in the waitress’ employment contract, which states that they are liable for unsettled bills.
“The situation is now between Anna and her friends and the waitress. It’s the waitress’ duty to go after them,” said Simubali.
Anna Nikodemus confirmed the outstanding bill but said they hadn’t settled it for lack of time.
“I sent one of our drivers to drop it off but there was no one there. Last Friday, I sent Junior, one of the guys we were with that night but he did not deliver the money due to time constraints. He’s in Karibib now with the money but it will be sorted out as soon as he’s back,” said Nikodemus adding that, “We all want to sort it out. It’s just been a misunderstanding.”
Simubali said Dominique indicated that he had just been invited to the ‘party’.
The bill was finally settled last Thursday and Simubali pleaded for the story not to be published but it was too late.
