Strange bed-fellows: Dogs residing along Harvey Street next to the Central hospital in Windhoek have been keeping a secret from their owners and handlers. Twice, V-Metro as well as passer-bys have witnessed this dog (pictured) and another black dog mating with a stray jackal in the area; on separate occasions. By now, the jackal should be expecting. Interestingly, while a female dog is called a bitch, a female jackal is called a dog jackal. Perhaps that explains the chemistry.
