Comedian poisons baby

by Chris-Paul

Rosa Manuel, the Angolan comedian Jamal Gomes’ baby mama says he poisoned their six-month old son.
Rosa says Jamal had problems accepting the paternity of the baby.

Jamal took the baby to his flat in Windhoek West last week on Wednesday and returned him unwell later the same day.

“The baby was drowsy when he returned him. His temperature was abnormally high," says Rosa adding that he had never taken the baby nbefore.

"He had never liked the baby from the start. He wants to get rid of him. He wants to go and live in Brazil. He’s trying to say its food poisoning but it’s too serious for that," says Rosa.

She says she got worried later on in the evening when the baby started to vomit and had diarrhea.

Jamal admits that the baby looked sick when he returned him, “My girlfriend was feeding the baby not me. Yes, maybe it’s food poisoning but it is not deliberate," says Jamal.

He denies that he had it planned to eliminate his son, “Why would I kill my own son? That’s nonsense. Maybe she is just not happy with the fact that I was with my girlfriend when I brought back the baby to her.”

He says he wanted to spend time with the baby as he was leaving for Rio De Janiero, Brazil, for four months.

"I have shows and business in Rio so that’s almost five months away. I wanted to be with my baby since I won’t be seeing him in a while," explains Jamal.

He also admits that he had doubts about paternity, “Yes, I had doubts in the beginning. I had my reasons which I’m not going to tell you. I think I had a right to voice my feelings over that.

Now I’m hundred percent convinced the baby is mine, I care for him and I give the baby everything he needs," says Jamal.

Rosa has had tests done on the boy and is waiting for results, “I’m getting the result today and I will open a case against him after that .I know he tried to kill my baby.

He will pay for this," says Rosa.
