Otjozondjupa Swapo Party regional representatives this afternoon visited the Swapo Headquarters seeking an audience from the Secretary General, after their petition went unanswered.

The group of 19 vowed not to move from the premises until their administrative leader addressed the concerns they have raised in the petition.

In the petition the representatives questioned a series of ‘unconstitutional district congresses’ that were held in the region over the past few months.

The Treasurer of Otjozondjupa Swapo district, Julius Neumbo said that they have been neglected too long and they have come for answers, although to their surprise Mbumba left his office without giving them audience.

“We come to our mother as children for our problems to be resolved but nothing is being done. All they say is that they will look into the complaints and that the complaints have been send to the highest authorities of SWAPO party, we don not even know until know which highest authority they talked about. I sat with the SG this morning but he told us that he is not does not have time but why tell us to come today,” Neumbo fumed.

He added that this is unfair treatment and it has cost them to lose out on their work.

Neumbo said that the he refrained from travelling with a larger group as it would have caused chaos at the HQ.
