Quick buck lands man in court

by Linekela Halwoodi

Thabo Tsabalala from Oponganda, Katutura, allegedly saw an opportunity to make a quick buck from Thorsten Moi when he got hold of his indecent pictures two weeks ago.

However, Tsabalala’s plan backfired when Moi went to the police and reported him for extortion.

Tsabalala had allegedly been harassing Moi threatening to expose the pictures if he did not give him N$2000.

On 14 February only a day after making the threats, the police came knocking at Tsabalala door and took him in for questioning.

He was later charged with extortion but it is, however, not clear whether Moi got his pictures back.

Tsabalala said he would defend himself in this case when he made his first appearance in the Katutura Magistrate court where he was granted N$500 bail with orders to return to court on 11 April this year.
