Man charged with human trafficking

Pomene Lukas (29), a resident of Babylon residential area in Katutura, has been charged with human trafficking after it emerged that between March and June of 2016 he received “X” by means of threat, use of force or other forms of coercion to receive the consent of a “x” having control over another person for the purpose of sexual exploitation/forced labour/services/slavery servitude or removal of organs. If charged Lukas is liable to a fine not exceeding N$1 million or a period not exceeding 50 years of imprisonment court documents show. Lukas is expected back in court on the 25th of November 2016 due to further investigations being carried out. He remains in police custody.
