Nico Kanao from Soweto, Katutura will remain in police custody after he appeared in court last week and still failed to give a residential address.
The 20-year old has been in police custody since May last year after he was arrested in connection with the death of Sebastiaan Rooinasie.
Kanao was charged with murder when he allegedly stabbed Rooinasie in the chest with a knife, resulting in the latter’s death in Soweto last year.
Kanao has not provided his residential address to the court, which keeps him  in police custody, even though he has been granted a N$2000 bail. He also told the court upon his arrest that he would represent himself in this case but during his last appearance, he changed his mind and indicated he would hire his own legal representative..
His case was remanded to 23 of next month.
