Handbag snatcher charged with Robbery

Shali Martin Italinapo (26), a resident of Erf 564 Lazarus Street in

Katutura, has been charged with stealing the property of Generosa

Nandjila Shau.

Court documents show that the incident took place on the 19th of

September 2015 near Hakahana Service Station in the Windhoek

district. The accused threatened Shau by saying he would inflict

bodily harm on her and grabbed her handbag.

The accused is alleged to have taken a handbag valued at N$2 360,

one gate remote, a Samsung cellphone valued at N$4 500 and lip

balm valued at N$20.

The suspect is currently out on N$800 bail and will appear again in

court on the 23rd of June 2016 due to further investigations.
