State, Napwu agree on salary adjustments

In an engagment between the state and the Namibia Public Workers Union (NAPWU), a collective agreement was signed on salary adjustments at the National Council of Namibia chambers yesterday, evening.

According to the agreement, for 2016/17 financial year, a 10% general salry adjustmet for grade 15,14 and 13 will be made while, 5% general salary adjustment for grades 12 to 5, a 4% general salary adjustment for grades 4 to 1A, 9% adjustment to housing allowance for staff members below management, an 8% adjustment to housing allowance for management cadre while 10% adjustment to HOSSM.The parties have agreed for these adjustments to become affective as of 1 April this year.

during the 2017/18 financial year, a  7% salary adjustment has been agreed on for all grades, 7% Adjustment of transport Allowance for staff members below management and 7% adjustment to capital amount of Motor Vehicle allowance for management cadre.
