Andersen Namibia, a Windhoek Accounting & Taxation firm, has become a full member firm of one of the world’s largest professional services networks, Andersen Global.
The formal launch saw Andersen Taxation and Advisory (Andersen Namibia) become a full member firm of one of the world’s largest professional services networks last week.
This marked the conclusion of a process that had been running – largely out of public view – since 2021, the founders narrated.
In a press release, Andersen Namibia indicated that they first joined the Andersen Global network as a collaborating firm, a proving-ground arrangement.
However, after four years of shared mandates, built trust, and demonstrated standards, the collaboration has elevated.
Andersen Namibia’s managing partner, Bernadette Kandenge, who led the firm through the four years, narrated the partnership requirements and what it delivers.
“We have built our practice around ethical integrity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Namibian enterprises,” Kandenge said.
She added that becoming an Andersen Global member strengthens the local entity’s ability to support businesses with scalable, cross-border solutions, while maintaining the personalised, locally-informed service to their clients’ value.
Founding Partner Julius David stated at the launch that Namibian entrepreneurs, families, and institutions deserve the same quality of thinking and counsel that the rest of the world takes for granted.
He assured the market of what they are building and their intention to adopt with a global entity.
“That is the firm we set out to build,” stated David stated as he explained the company’s intention.
Management Consulting Partner Thaddeus Shigwedha, whose remit covers much of the firm’s growth agenda, said the firm just personalised their service to Namibia’s sectoral needs.
“The global name is new. The local knowledge, the personal relationships, and the commitment to this country are not. Expansion plans span Tax Transformation, Valuation, Corporate Strategy, SME advisory, digital finance, and public sector work,” stated Shigwedha.
Chief Executive Officer of Andersen Global, Mark L. Vorsatz, framed the admission of Andersen Namibia as strategic.
“This transition builds on a successful collaboration and represents an important step in our long-term strategy in Africa. Bernadette and her team enhance our capabilities to serve businesses in Namibia and throughout the region,” he said
Andersen Global remains less visible in Namibia than its scale warrants.
Founded in 2013, the network now covers more than 1,000 locations across over 170 countries, with over 50,000 professionals working across tax, legal, valuation, management consulting, and oil and gas advisory.
According to the press release, Andersen carries no affiliation with any bank, audit firm, or financial institution; its recommendations are addressed to one party: the client.
