Sports minister Erastus Uutoni has advised Brave Warriors to play as a team at the 2019 AFCON qualifier match against Zambia.
“Don’t keep the ball for too long that is wasting time. I know you see how the Europeans are performing. I am sure you guys can do it better. ”
“The nation is behind you and we are counting on you. We are a very good team. You have a great coach as well. I am also a coach as a politician and believe me we coaches only teach our players right tricks and how to handle the ball. We teach them to play the ball and not the man,” said Uutoni.
Uutoni also said that the team has done well in the past games and more is excepted from them.
“I have witnessed how you play and I am proud to be a Brave Warrior. I look forward to a win on that fateful day,” he said.
Namibia and Zambia will face off in Lusaka on Saturday 23 March in their final Group K game and Namibia can qualify for the 2019 AFCON finals if they avoid defeat to Zambia.
Guinea Bissau and Namibia are top of Group K on eight points each with Mozambique in third place on seven points.
Zambia who is on four points is already out of the race to Egypt 2019.
The group winner and the runner-up will qualify for the 32nd edition of the Total African Cup of Nations to be played in Egypt from 21st June to 19th July.
The team will be accompanied by fans who will also travel to Zambia.
